GO YE
Rev. Sylvanus Abahde
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” Mark 16:15.

In every generation there is a role that is
assigned to man to play in the kingdom agenda; this role is the role of
preaching the gospel to the lost. This is a mandate given to everyone that
believe in the name of Jesus. The work of preaching the gospel is not attached
to title or position, but an assignment that is for all of us.
The assignment of preaching the gospel is
important, and must be carried out everywhere in nations of the world, but we
must start from our immediate environment. “But
ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and
ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”
In reaching to the lost, every believer must bear
this in mind that our life and the way we live is a message to the lost; how
are you living daily? If you must win a
lost soul you must live to represent Jesus with the way you live your life.
Many are afraid of the evil men and their weapons
of wickedness, but the good news today is that the grace and mark we carry as
believers in Christ makes us untouchable for the evil ones and no evil one or
wicked message of darkness will harm you. “And
Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven
and in earth” Mat28:18
God has commanded us to go out. Everyone of us is
expected to go out and make converts, bring them to church, so that the house
of God might be filled. A true witness should never be ashamed of the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ, so you are to join other brethren in unity during church evangelism and visitation to win souls
collectively to the kingdom of God
REASONS WHY
WITNESSING IS SO IMPORTANT
1.
THE TIME IS TOO SHORT: So many people may say am still young so I have
much time to serve the lord and win souls for Him. But I tell you, you have no
time. The day of the lord is nearer by day, and you must not meet your savior
empty handed. So the work of the master require urgency. There is other time
for you to reach out to the lost than now. Now is the time to serve god, now
that you are young. Ezk 33:1-8
2.
BECAUSE IT’S A COMMAND: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Mat 28:19. It is a command for every believer to
go out and preach the gospel. You must live ready to defend the course of the
gospel.
3.
BECAUSE
JESUS DIED FOR US ALL: Jesus’s death
on the cross of Calvary is for mankind, so we must never assume that church and
the gospel is meant for a certain set of people, a tribe or a particular race.
In conclusion, be ready to go out at all time to
preach the gospel. As you give yourself for the kingdom work you will see God
breaking through for you in all every area of your life and your destiny is
secured by the power of God.
